The Wildflower Festival

This past August marks the second year of The Wildflower Festival. This nonprofit event supports local artists, musicians, and the bees! The Wildflower Festival is not just about enjoying exceptional performances but also about making a positive impact on our environment. All proceeds from the festival will be dedicated to creating pollinator gardens and bee hotels throughout the town. As the event was tailored for nature fans and artist types, I wanted to ensure the branding and merchandise incorporated those qualities. Designing unorthodox flowers and an expressive mascot while using a contrast of bright floral colors and earthy natural tones resulted in a comforting and imaginative feeling that aligned with the values of The Wildflower Festival.

BHTNH Design Contest

The Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire promotes awareness and appreciation of African American history and life in order to build more inclusive communities today. In my design, I wanted to show the hidden history of NH symbolically through a combination of the silhouette of the state and a woman’s face. Although my design wasn’t chosen for the shirt, it was ultimately used as a sticker that was sold in the BHTNH museum store.

The Big White House
on Main Street

The Big White House on Main Street is an original local theater production that accounts the true stories of the author’s lives through an aspiring restaurateur and his wife as they emigrate from Italy to start a family and build their dream. As a reference, I used a picture of the original home the story is based on to create the illustration while incorporating a combination of serif and san-serif fonts to convey the homemade and comforting themes of the play.
